Financial Aid for Transition Agencies and Employment Transition Firms

The German state has created two tools with the law § 216a+b, SSC III to facilitate the transition of departing employees into new jobs in the form of transfer agencies and employment transition firms.

Transfer agencies, – our team consulting – for which financial aid of up to 2,500 euros per person is offered, provides for outplacement consulting. Outplacement takes place within the regular notice period. In contrast to employment transition firms, employees remain with their employers until the end of the notice period. The advantage: Employees can apply for jobs while remaining employed. This significantly increases their chances of finding a new job more quickly.

Employment transition firms employ separated employees for a limited time period, and support employees with career changes. Financial aid for these services is called short-term employee transition support.
